Busy Times Mean Less Blog Fun for Alex

I haven’t actually looked at the specifics, but I know it has been a while since I wrote a real blog post. I have been spending a lot of my blogging time interviewing others, and have somehow neglected myself. Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoying helping others, and chatting with other authors is a great way to spend my time, however, I should not forget that I too have some work to promote. Ten pieces in fact. Sales are good, last month was great in fact, by my own measures, but with some promotion work I could easily sell more.

Besides that, my private life has been going crazy. With business trips, a ten-day trip back home to the UK and 12 hour working days fitted around my own writing, editing and child raising, the blog has become more of an as and when the time arises kind of thing. It is not ideal, and I realize that, but for the time being it is the best I can do.

Even now, while writing this post I am working a little, writing and editing two different documents and trying to ease a pain in my back that just won’t quit. I like to be busy, so no real complaints coming from me on that score.

We have a long weekend here in Holland this weekend, so I am hoping to bang out one or two short stories that I have been wanting to write for a long time, and if possible pre-write a few blog posts.

With the weather we have been having these last few weeks over here, there is no danger of summer coming along to distract me from my writing plans. It was a scorching 9 degrees centigrade here today, with high winds and rain to boot.
