Do you like listening to audio books?
I’m interested because for me, I just can’t ever get into them. But maybe that’s more to do with the fact that I don’t have the time to sit and listen to one. At least not while I am doing something else alongside it.
That being said, I am not blind to the popularity of audiobooks, and so I am very happy to announce that my first audiobook is out now.
I decided to go with Terror from the Deep.
Why?
I like the book. I had fun with it and loved some of the character interaction, which the narrator absolutely nailed. Just the coach’s voice in the opening chapter was spot on with how I heard it in my mind.
It was a toss up between this and No Zombies Please, but due to circumstances I will discuss later, I decided to go with the giant dragonfish.
Depending on how well things go here, I will see about bringing my whole collection out in audiobook format.
What are your favourite audiobooks?
How do you listen to them?
I’d love to know, so leave a scribble in the comments if you care to share.
I found working with ACX really easy, and the narrator I chose was a joy to work with. He’s was communicative and open to dialogue and conversation about certain items.
I would definitely look to produce more work, but as I said, it also depends on how well the sales go.
I haven’t considered audio books yet since I don’t listen to them either. But, I am always open to new ideas… will be interesting to see how you get on.
